TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT

ROADWORKS
With the new road open there are no "road works" as such. The traffic is in its final configuration with no temporary signs cones or diversions.

In the centre of the route there are some barriers in place, which currently prevent access to the Coulsdon North Industrial Estate. These will remain in place until the developers commence works in the industrial estate.

The eventual “T” junction alignment will be implemented initially to allow traffic to be moved off the current road, but until the whole of the new route is opened the traffic will flow with the current priority and will not be under traffic light control. These works are likely to commence soon and will continue until the road is fully opened.

FUTURE TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT WORKS

Early in the New Year we will commence works on the old road from the Southern Roundabout to Marlpit Lane Roundabout. The kerbs and footways are to be reconstructed and various changes made to the road. These activities will require temporary traffic lights to be in place during the day; however, traffic flows will be monitored and should in be necessary peak hours will be avoided.

The works are expected to take approximately 3-months to complete, although traffic lights will not be required for the whole period.
